MERCEDES BENZ MUSEUM 2006

The Mercedes-Benz Museum is a cultural landmark that unites the past, present and future of this legendary car. Located beside Mercedes-Benz’s factory in Stuttgart-Untertürkheim, the building stands like a new gateway to the city.

The museum offers visitors a journey through time. Two chronological routes follow a double helix structure, descending and intertwining along the gallery spaces. Spiralling around a spectacular central atrium, one path winds through the vehicle collection displays; the other through historical exhibits. As the routes intersect, exciting spatial configurations, cross-references and shortcuts emerge within the various displays.
