STUDIO VELOCITY

After working for junyaishigami + associates, Kurihara and Iwatsuki established studio velocity in Okazaki, Aichi, Japan in 2006. They have many works, such as "Curved Little House" beauty salon in Nagoya and "Sky-view Ground Floor, Citylike Top Floor” in Okazaki, "Aichi Sangyo University Educational Center for Language and IT" and "House Open to the City", "KOWA PUBLIC APARTMENT COMPLEX", "Office in Sanno", and "House surrounded by hedges", and “AWAZUKU HOUSE”.

Major awards include “SD review 2006”, “2007 JIA (Japan Institute of Architects) Award”, “2011 International Architecture Awards”, “AR HOUSE AWARDS 2013 Highly Commended”, “2016 JIA (Japan Institute of Architects) young architect Award”, “Good Design Award 2018” and “SD review 2018 Asakura Award”.
