Preserving the identity of the site and the characteristics of the building in question gave us the motto for the intervention.
The proposed space appears as a "house inside a house": a massive volume placed into the existing space that reacts to the geometry of the initial shape.
The central area is subtracted from this volume, resulting in a kind of square, a gathering point separating the different functions of the space. The largest of the two volumes houses an informal auditorium, while the second contains an information desk with a storeroom and a toilet tucked behind.
